Ilene Amiel, founded Personal Affairs Administrator, Inc. (PAA) in 2013 with the goal of bringing her business experience and unique skill set to the growing need of older adults, busy individuals, widows/widowers and Executors/Administrators.
Experience and Education
Ms. Amiel began her career as an Account Manager for Saatchi & Saatchi advertising, where she managed a $30MM budget. She worked in Account Management at several NYC agencies for 10 years. Ilene spent the next part of her career as a Comptroller where she oversaw all financial and administrative functions. During her 20+ years of corporate experience, Ilene honed her skills in financial management, communications and negotiating. She has worked extensively with attorneys, accountants, investment advisors, bankers, insurance agents.
Ilene holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Boston University's Questrom School of Business. Ms. Amiel earned certifications as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®).
The History
The story of PAA is truly a personal story of Ilene Amiel. She was appointed the Executor of her father's estate when he was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer and died soon after. She founded PAA after she went through the Executor process again for her aunt, who also passed away quickly after being diagnosed with cancer. Going through the experience of losing two close family members opened Ilene's heart to the overwhelm of others who might not be equipped to manage the challenge of Executor/Administrator duties. She now dedicates her time and talents to making a difference in the lives of others during difficult times.
Background/Interests
Ms. Amiel is a native New Yorker and has lived in Westchester county for over 30 years. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the Estate Planning Council of Westchester County (EPCWC), Northern Westchester Geriatric Committee, the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.
